Andrea Cross - The Partnership on AI

Andrea is the Director of Content and Communications at PAI where she oversees content strategy and PAI Partner and external communications efforts. She has over twenty years of experience in journalism, storytelling, and media production.

Andrea spent ten years in various roles at the acclaimed PBS science documentary series NOVA and received a Peabody Award for her work on the three-hour NOVA miniseries The Elegant Universe, hosted by physicist Brian Greene. She also was part of the executive team as the first Supervising Producer of the spin-off NOVA ScienceNOW, a magazine series hosted first by journalist Robert Krulwich and later by science communicator and astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson. She helped launch and expand multimedia efforts at the George Lucas Educational Foundation and the California Academy of Sciences. She most recently led the content development, production, and publication at the media company Reinvent and helped present in-depth conversations with thought leaders, academics, civic leaders and other innovators about how to solve the many challenges of our time.

Andrea lived in Germany for seven years where she collaborated on various international film projects. Along with her husband, she is the co-author of a German book explaining the science behind 100 myths about conception, pregnancy & birth.
